Zodwa Wabantu made sure not to spare any expense when it came to her Durban July weekend despite it being a virtual celebration, she made sure to raise standards.
For her entrance, Zodwa pulled up in a red Ferrari that screamed look at me, she also was surrounded with security. Taking to Instagram, Zodwa posted an image of herself in the Ferrari and surrounded by her security for the day.
The socialite was dressed in a short shiny charcoal dress but missed the mark when it came to the day’s theme of Butterflies, she wore a normal surgical mask.
Zodwa’s outfit can be described as normal compared to her previous Durban July outfits.
However, Zodwa explained to Daily Sun that she had two outfits planned for the prestigious horsing event but of lockdown, she had to cancel one outfit, which was a butterfly dress due to the lockdown and wore the second dress designed by Musa Bassel.
Zodwa’s security did not come cheap, those 12 bodyguards cost her R240 000. VIP Protection is expensive!
“This wasn’t just for security purposes, but was meant to create hype and drama wherever I go,” she told the publication.
The hefty price tag might make some people complain considering the financial times Mzansi is in but Zodwa is not complaining at all.
