In stunning news, a brave mother from Chiredzi, Zimbabwe fought a crocodile attack to save her 3-year-old child from a crocodile. The woman Morina Musisinyana, from Chihosi Village in Chiredzi, said that the incident happened when she was fishing in the Runde River near Gonarezhou National Park.
Morina said that she is still in shock over the miraculous rescue and is still to understand how she managed to pull off the superhuman fit to rescue her child, Gideon.
Narrating the child’s ordeal to national broadcaster ZBC, Morina said that she had to literally pull out her child from the jaws of the crocodile after fighting off the predator. She said that since she was a child she had been instructed to attach the reptile’s snort in case she ever found herself at the mercy of a crocodile. Which is exactly what she did before opening the crocodile’s jaws. Miraculously, Morina only suffered an injured arm during the daring rescue.
However, her son, Gideon, did not fare as well as the sustained more severe injuries from the attack. He suffered lacerations to his upper body and his head in particular from the sharp teeth of the predator. Morina was initially fearful that Gideon would not survive the attack when she rushed him to the hospital. However, the staff at the hospital have said that the little man is responding well to treatment.
