MWEMBESHI Ward 27 Councillor Kelvin Kaunda has stated that some Lusaka City Councillors have submit an initiative to give a contribution the entire funeral bills for the burial of gifted younger musician David Phiri popularly referred to as Daev who died in a street site visitors coincidence the day before today.
Daev along 4 others are stated to have burnt to demise after a car they have been driving in from Chirundu headed for Lusaka overturned and stuck fireplace.
The musicians demise has sparked nationwide grief with many pouring their disappointment on social media. Daev lived in Lusaka’s Matero Township the place Kaunda is Area Councillor.
Kaunda who could also be Eden University proprietor stated he used to be a great deal stunned and saddened by means of Daev’s demise. After visiting the home of mourning in Matero, Kaunda advised Batoka Bulls that he would foot all funeral bills after discussing with the musician’s circle of relatives and fellow Councillors.
Earlier, Kaunda posted on his Facebook web page; “It is with sadness that I have come to learn about the demise of Young Daev (David Phiri) after being involved in road traffic accident in the mid hours of yesterday.”
“Daev is a resident in my ward (Mwembeshi ward 27) therefore I pledge full support to the family and pray for God’s Divine comfort unto the family, until we see our young entrepreneur off,” said Kaunda.
