Chipolopolo forward Albert ‘Deddo’ Kangwanda is off to Croatia where he is expected to join topflight side HNK Gorica.
According to the Kafue Celtic Facebook, Kangwanda left this morning and is expected to pen a three-year deal.
“Albert dedo Kangwanda has left for Croatia where he’s expected to sign for Hrvatska nogometna liga side HNK Gorica. HNK Gorica is also the club where Peter Chikola has been on trial since 7th of July. We wish both Crocs all the best,” posted the club on its platform.
Kangwanda scored the winning goal of the 2022 Cosafa Cup as Zambia lifted the crown for the sixth time.
The 21-year-old played a part in Saturday’s African Nations Championship tie that the Chipolopolo lost 1-0 to the mambas of Mozambique.
Kangwanda joins another Chipolopolo player beginning life in the Croatian league after Prince Mumba trekked to Europe signing for Club NK Istra.
