The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Bayelsa State has deferred the release of results from the remaining two local government areas until noon on Monday.
The outstanding areas awaiting announcement are Brass and Southern Ijaw LGAs.
Mr. Wilfred Ifogah, the Head of Department for Voter Education and Publicity at INEC, Bayelsa State, declared the adjournment after the session reconvened at 7 pm on Sunday. He cited challenges in collating results from certain units and wards within the two local government areas.
So far, results from six out of the state’s eight local government areas have been disclosed, with the PDP emerging victorious in five and the APC securing one.
