Ian Khama stands with #ZimbabweanLivesMatter

President Mnangagwa and Zanu PF Officials are starting to feel the pressure are they are starting to receive contempt and rebuke from their SADC conterparts.

ANC spoke against the Human Rights Violation against the Zimbabwean people by the Mnangagwa Zanu PF leadership. South Africa went further to send an envoy to Harare to access the situation.

Ian Khama the President of Botswana has also taken a stand with the #ZimbabweanLivesMatter Movement. SADC countries are beginning to realise a Zimbabwean problem is a SADC problem too as the oppressed people will have no choice but to seek refuge in their countries.

Khama in a series of posts on his facebook page voiced out his concerns regarding the violations at Mnangagwa Government’s hands. In a post he questioned whether it was taken during the rhodesian regime or after independence as it still showed oppression of the people and police brutality:

ZimbabweanLivesMatter, Ian Khama

Was this picture taken during minority rule in Rhodesia or majority rule in Zimbabwe? 🤷🏻‍♂️

During Ian Smiths white minority rule in Rhodesia, the police used to clamp down and oppress the black majority. A successful war of liberation was waged to free that majority from oppression and gain independence.

Now forty years later and under majority rule, nothing seems to have changed for the long-suffering people of Zimbabwe other than the name of the county and that of its leaders. Free Zimbabwe! 🇿🇼 ✊🏼
