PATRIOTIC Front( PF) member Chishimba Kambwili has been charged and arrested for the offence of expressing or showing hatred, ridicule or disdain for persons because race tribe or place of origin.
Police deputy spokesperson Danny Mwale has confirmed.
Mr Mwale said Mr Kambwili remains in Police custody awaiting court appearance.
Yesterday, police recorded a warn and caution statement from Dr Kambwili.
“ He has been advised and advised for the subject offence of Expressing or showing abomination, sport or disdain for persons because of race, tribe or place of origin contrary to Section 70( i) and( ii) Chapter 87 as read with ActNo. 2 of 2021 of the Cyber Security and Cyber Crimes of the Laws ofZambia.This occurred between May 2021 and August 2021 at Radio Mano in Kasama, Northern Province, ” he said.
