FOLLOWING the reduction of bus fares by K5, some bus operators in Ndola this morning took to the street demanding the relevant authority to rescind its decision.
The aggrieved bus operators blocked traffic at Mulungushi and Chisokone Bus Stations.
They also stopped buses not to leave the station. The operators said they were not happy with this move and are proposing a reduction of about K2.50 unlike a K5 which they say is too high.
And Minister of Transport and Logistics Frank Tayali who addressed the aggrieved bus operators directed that the Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA) hold a consultative agreement with the operators, as their concerns are genuine.
