International DJ Black Coffee has managed to raise close to R500 000 worth of funds to various organisations that are battling the COVID-19 pandemic.
He is using what he loves the most which is his art, to help combat this pandemic, whilst keeping fans entertained at the comfort of their homes.
His Home Brewed sessions first started off as a way to raise funds for the Covid-19 Solidarity Fund, an initiative set by the government.
Seeing the success of his live sessions, Coffee saw an opportunity to raise even more money for different charities that cater towards different causes, all in the name of feeding the poor and more vulnerable and providing the best health care for the ones at the forefront.
Organisations such as: Corona Cares SA, KFC’s Add Hope, Gift of the Givers, #FeedingSATogether and SAveABusiness have all been greatly assisted by the DJ.
The lockdown has had an impact on many people’s lives and these charities help with providing necessities such as water and food parcels, medical supplies to healthcare workers, small businesses that have been suffering due to the regulations.
Black Coffee aims to raise even more funds as he has two more episodes of his Home Brewed sessions to go.
His efforts are commendable and they do not go unnoticed, even the World Health Organisation (WHO) has applauded the music icon.
