ERB slashes Fuel pump prices
THREE weeks ago public buses were venues of high-pitched arguments between conductors and passengers over reduced bus fares and just when the country is about to forget, the Energy Regulation Board has announced fresh and reduced pump prices.
Whether bus fares along with prices and other essential commodities in flow in response to the declining fuel prices remains to be seen.
The Energy Regulation Board (ERB) announced this afternoon that fuel pump prices for petroleum had reduced by K1.65 for diesel K1.75 and K1.72 for Kerosene per litre.
Speaking during the monthly fuel review press briefing, ERB vice Chairperson James Banda has announced the reduction of Petroleum price from the current market price of K23.19 K21. 54 per liter
He further revealed that diesel prices have been adjusted from K24.87 to K23.12 whilst Kerosene will be 16.71 from K18.43 per liter.
Banda said the new prices will be effective at midnight of September 1, 2022.
