LESS than a week in which five pupils were sexually assaulted by their adult fellow pupils, a 23-year-old man of Chililabombwe on the Copperbelt has allegedly been sodomised.
Police have since arrested a 27-year-old pharmacy attendant and another 26-year-old, while the third suspect is on the run.
Copperbelt Province Commanding officer Sharon Zulu said the incident occurred yesterday between midnight and 03:00 hours at a names guest house.
Ms Zulu said that the victim who sustained a painful anus and general body pains reported that he was sodomised by three male persons that he knows and can identify.
“Brief facts are that, the victim who is a DJ at a named bar was at work when three guys entered the bar to buy beers at 20:00hours. Among the three he only knew Mutambo Cephas aged 26, of Mine area Chililabombwe. As they were drinking, around 22:00hours the three told the victim to relocate to another drinking place,” she said.
She said that they all got into a car and went to Mukinga Guest house which has a bar inside and while there one of the three men booked a room.
Immediately after entering the room the victim slept as he was drunk. Whilst asleep he experienced terrible anus pains. He immediately woke up and found that he was completely naked and the other colleagues were all naked while one of the men was found in the act, his penis was inserted in his anus,” she said
Ms Zulu said the victim stopped the suspect who was in the act and later dressed up and went out of the room heading home around 03:00 hours.
“Whilst home the pain persisted and the victim took it upon himself and started looking for the suspects . He spotted one of the three suspects and alerted the members of the public for help. He was then apprehended and taken to police were the matter was reported and the
accused person led to the apprehension of another suspect Robson Ngambi, aged 27, of C_ Section Mine area Chililabombwe a Pharmacy attendant at Medcorp pharmacy chililabombwe, while the other suspect only known as Kelvin is on the run,” she said.
Ms Zulu added that Police have since instituted a manhunt for him.
