Russian-Nigerian actress and content creator Fari Elysian recently opened up about the tragic loss of three acquaintances due to complications arising from Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) surgeries.
During an episode of The Time podcast hosted by Victoria Gure and Folasade Abimbola, Fari recounted the profound impact of these losses, expressing the difficulty of witnessing these tragedies.
“We began producing short films, Afro Tales, where each episode presents relatable stories to the audience. It was during this time that I faced the loss of three women I knew due to complications from BBL surgeries. It was a heartbreaking experience; hearing about someone’s complications, their struggles, and then losing them. The varied cases pushed me to delve deeper into this issue. We decided to create a story about it and dedicated an episode of Afro Tales to BBL,” she shared.
Regarding her encounter with Don Jazzy, the CEO of Mavin Records, Fari mentioned that despite creating a skit with him, many were unaware that he responded to her message after a year had passed since her viral video.
“Don Jazzy was part of my skit, but what many don’t know is that he responded a year after my video went viral. It took another four months before we could shoot because he made time for me after seeing the video. Don Jazzy really came through for me,” she revealed.
