5 International Magazines Thuso Mbedu Has Featured In. We can all agree that Thuso Mbedu is a gone girl in terms of her career and the international recognition she has received is proof of that. Having already received and Emmy nomination for her role on Is’Thunzi, the actress has since taken her acting career to the next level with her latest award winning role on the Hollywood limited series The Underground Railroad.

Thuso’s role as Cora of the series has received praises from Hollywood icons including Oprah Winfrey, Viola Davis and many more. Mzansi couldn’t be more proud of how high she has been flying the South African Flag and we believe she is still going far in her career.

Thuso has been rubbing shoulders with some of Hollywoods elite actors and actresses including the likes of Charlize Theron, Ellen Degeneres, Viola Davis and many more.

Thuso has bagged a number of nomination at prestigious Hollywood awards platforms such as the Hollywood Critics Awards which was announced through the platforms twitter account. Mbedu has been selected in the Best Actress in a Limited Series, Anthology Series or Television Movie category for her role as Cora on The Underground Railroad. Other actors nominated in the same category include Anya Taylor-Joy, Cynthia Erivo, Elizabeth Olsen, Kate Winslet, Michaela Coel, and Zendaya.

The drama series also scored Thuso another international nod for Outstanding Actress in TV Movie/Limited Series at the Black Reel TV Awards alongside Tessa Thompson, Cynthia Erivo, Michaela Coel, and Nicole Beharie and the masses are holding thumbs that she walks away with the awards.
